A process by which cells or tissues are preserved through cooling to low sub-zero temperatures. |

Hematopoietic Stem Cells |
Cells that can only transform into different types of blood cells since they have already started to become blood stem cells. |
Pluripotent Stem Cells |
Are found in embryos. They are the most basic and undifferentiated form of stem cells, they can actually create and form new tissue and new organs. |
Unspecialized or un-programmed cells that have the potential to change into other cell/tissue types ex: muscle, cartilage, bone, etc. |
