MEET CAMELA !
MAZE CORD BLOOD COORDINATOR
|
We know that many of you have called our offices in Westchester County New York and have been passed into the trusty hands of Camela Ramlall, the MAZE Cord Blood Patient Coordinator.
Camela has been at M.A.Z.E. for three years and is expert at navigating the cord blood quagmire. Not only does she know the system inside and out, not only does she have great attention to detail and a startling memory ~ she is the most pleasant person you'd ever want to talk to as you approach this exciting - but sometimes confusing or even terrifying - time of your life.
Camela knows what the competition is doing and happily explains to callers that M.A.Z.E. really does not charge annual storage fees. We process and store your baby's cord blood stem cells under the most secure conditions, and our upfront fee takes care of 20 years of storage. End of story.
You will hear from Camela more than once at the time of your baby's birth. You'll hear from her around your baby's first birthday and then again at 18 months. We're not going to reveal right here why you'll hear from her but just trust that it's for a good reason!
Here's what Camela says about her job at M.A.Z.E. Cord Blood Laboratories:
"You know, it's really a privilege to talk to people at this time in their lives. There is pressure to do the right thing for you baby before he or she is born. You have to eat right, take your vitamins, try not to bite your husband's head off when you're in one of those hormone-induced moods...so goodness knows, you don't need a headache from a cord blood company.
"It's my pleasure each day to talk through the process with prospective patients, answer any questions, help them with the paperwork....without that, this would just be another job. But because I get to talk to people who are thinking about their families, and to whom banking is important, I feel that my job has real meaning."
Now, Camela is not alone, of course. She has a team that works with her every day to serve our patients well as they make this critical decision.
So, Happy Holidays from Dana, Nancy, Stacey, Mandi, Sue, Amy and the rest of us at M.A.Z.E. May the coming year bring health and blessings to you and your families.
